A Law That Operates Without Asking
Part 5 - Grace - Fully Human
Key Scriptures
Romans 7:23
Romans 8:2
Core Truth
Some patterns operate automatically until a stronger life intervenes.
Paul speaks of a “law” at work within us.
Not a rule. Not a command.
A principle.
Like gravity, it operates automatically unless something stronger intervenes.
This law is life lived from the self — self‑sourcing, self‑protecting, self‑managing.
Over time, it collapses inward. It produces exhaustion rather than rest.
You may notice it most when pressure comes. Not because you lack faith, but because the body remembers old ways.
Noticing this law is not failure. It is awareness.
And awareness is the beginning of freedom.
Closing Reflection
Where does effort seem to increase when pressure rises?
This notices patterns, not problems.
What is noticeable in the body when there is a sense of unsafety or responsibility?
This invites bodily awareness without regulation.
What is awareness like when it is gentle rather than critical?
This contrasts two qualities of attention, not a task to perform.
