Purpose

Today we learn to see ourselves through the eyes of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Many of us are comfortable examining Scripture.

Many of us are comfortable examining our circumstances.

Far fewer of us know how to see ourselves as God sees us.

Today's invitation is not self-improvement.

It is learning to receive the perspective of love.

The Trinity already knows everything about you and continues to move toward you in love.

Your Reading

Read this week's passage again.

Read slowly.

Read prayerfully.

Allow the words to settle.

Then ask:

How does this passage reveal the way God sees me?

Seeing Yourself Through Love

As you reflect on the passage, consider:

• What does the Father see?

• What does the Son reveal?

• What is the Holy Spirit gently drawing my attention toward?

Imagine reading the passage through the eyes of love rather than fear.

What changes?

Moving from Falsehood to Reality

Every false lens hides a deeper reality.

For example:

If the false lens is performance, the deeper reality may be belovedness.

If the false lens is fear, the deeper reality may be trust.

If the false lens is self-sufficiency, the deeper reality may be dependence upon God.

Ask yourself:

What deeper reality might God be inviting me to embrace?

Reflect

Consider these questions:

• What do I find difficult to believe about myself?

• What truth does this passage reveal?

• What would change if I truly believed what God says is true?

Take your time.

Be gentle with yourself.

There is no need to force an answer.

Sit With the Trinity

Spend a few moments quietly with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Allow yourself to be fully seen.

Allow yourself to be fully loved.

You do not need to hide.

You do not need to defend.

You do not need to perform.

Simply remain.

Write freely and honestly.

Prayer

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,

Thank You for seeing me completely and loving me fully.

Help me release the lenses that distort my identity.

Teach me to see myself as You see me.

Give me courage to receive what is true.

Thank You that I am Your beloved.

Amen.
